What is laser therapy?
In 2009, the FDA cleared class IV lasers for human use. Laser therapy is a non-invasive, safe, and effective treatment modality in which light is used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, promote wound healing, and soft tissue repair. Because of these benefits laser therapy is one of the only treatments available to patients that allows for faster healing with no known side effects. Laser therapy is sometimes also referred to as cold laser therapy (CLT) or low level light therapy (LLLT).
